Senior FP&A Manager

The organisation has secured funding to support the acquisition and integration of some of the UK's best local IFA firms to create a leading national wealth management business. The Company has a 'buy and build' acquisition strategy in place and has already completed 18 acquisitions with a further 10 due to complete in the near-term. Future acquisitions are also planned. The company has a proven management team and a compelling acquisition model, with a clear strategy to grow revenue and achieve economies of scale.

The Senior FP&A Manager is a new position and is required to support the group's continued growth. The role will report into the Group Financial Controller and oversees the budgeting and forecasting process for the group. The individual will work collaboratively with department heads and Directors to will help drive accountability. They will guide and challenge the MDs of the operating companies and provide insightful analysis to the group. In order to succeed in the role, this individual will need to be highly analytical, independent and a fast learner.

They will be responsible for:
  • Building an efficient budgeting process and first rate financial model and working collaboratively with Heads of Departments and Directors
  • Measuring performance against budget on a monthly and quarterly basis and ensuring accountability for the results
  • Building an efficient forecasting and reforecasting process (rolling forecast)
  • Owning the financial model and longer term cash flow forecasting
  • Assistance with equity and debt fundraising (modelling and preparation of due diligence materials)
  • Provide commercial analysis and strategic thought on key decisions the business will undertake (e.g. geographic expansion, acquisitions etc)
  • Modelling the impact of acquisitions on financial performance and position, particularly with respect to leverage
  • Ad-hoc projects and analysis as required


You will be:
  • Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Eager to learn and adaptable
  • Able to deal effectively with other stakeholders and Directors
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations with people and holding them to account
  • Constantly trying to improve processes and make them more efficient
  • Happy dealing with large volumes of data


Required experience:
  • Chartered accountant (ACA or CA) is preferred or CIMA / ACCA qualified
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience in FP&A
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Solid accounting knowledge and MI reporting skills
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills
  • Private equity experience preferred
