OverviewJob Purpose
  • To assist and support the Napolina marketing team to achieve budgeted and business planned results.

  • Operating within the Princes Italian Products commercial
  • Working with the Senior Marketing Manager to deliver;
  • Napolina budgeted volume, turnover and net margin.
  • The Napolina digital strategy.
  • The marketing strategy and sales plan for Italian Products.
  • Ad hoc projects.
  • Internal contacts - Buying; Operations; Sales; Marketing ;Technical; NPD; Logistics; Legal; Finance; Treasury; Customer Services, Planning and Stock control Teams.
  • External contacts - Customer buyers (in support of Sales team).

Principal Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the management of a specific Napolina portfolio, working with the marketing team to deliver continued volume and profit through application of the 4 P's;
  • Product - deliver appropriate NPD, in line with innovation pipeline.
  • Price - keep close to the market to ensure that ongoing and promotional prices are relevant.
  • Promotion - work with Senior Marketing Manager on development of above the line and below the line marketing to ensure greatest exposure for Napolina.
  • Position - work with Senior Marketing Manager (Category) and Sales team to maximise distribution opportunitites across the trade.
  • Professionally resolve problems both internally and externally in a fair and ethical manner while protecting the long-term interests of the company.
  • Represent, perform and act in the absence of the more senior member of the marketing team on major issues / initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Marketing role preferable.
  • Good commercial awareness and a knowledge of FMCG / market conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with a methodical, structured approach.
  • Competent user of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication & team working skills.
  • Organised, efficient and able to work to deadlines and manage work load.
