Having just raised a significant Series A round of funding, we are now looking for a Finance Analyst to take day-to-day responsibility for core finance with responsibilities ranging from bookkeeping to payroll to management reports.

The Finance Analyst position is a new role within Florence. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and will be supported by an outsourced team. We are looking for someone who is excited to learn and proactive with great attention to detail.

You will be a highly ambitious accountant with a strong grounding in management accounting and payroll. You will be excited to take responsibility for running all aspects of a finance department (bookkeeping, credit control, VAT, PAYE, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end, management reporting, financial planning and analysis).

Key Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for overseeing bookkeeping
  • Raising invoices and debt chasing
  • Handling our working capital facility
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensuring clients are appropriately set up and invoiced appropriately
  • Manage client and staff finance enquiries
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, Balance sheet and cashflow
  • Finance planning and analysis
  • Ad-hoc finance projects

RequirementsTo succeed in this role you will need the following
  • 1+ years experience in Finance (currently pursuing an accountancy qualification )
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Extremely organised and thrive off getting things done on time to a high standard
  • Great excel skills
  • You will have an entrepreneurial and indomitable spirit; excited by the huge challenges before us
  • You will be able to demonstrate continuous learning and self-development
  • Startup experience desirable
  • Knowledge of FRS 102
  • Knowledge of Xero and LOOKER beneficial but not essential
