European Core Infrastructure Fund - Analyst

The Client:

The client is one of the leading core European Infrastructure investors with a longstanding track record of investing into a broad range of infrastructure sectors across the UK and Europe.

Due to increased activity the team are currently looking for an Analyst from an M&A background to join the London team

The Role:

Analyse Infrastructure Investment Opportunities:

1. Contribute towards the research, analysis and evaluation of a variety of infrastructure investment opportunities, including early-stage opportunity screening through to contributing towards the overall detailed assessment of priority investments
2. Contribute towards overall valuation analysis, including feeding into the building of financial models in addition to assessing key assumptions and sensitivities
3. Prepare precedent transactions and comparable company analysis
4. Assist in preparing and documenting investment reviews and recommendations to the Infrastructure Investment Commitment (IIC) and/or investment presentations to existing or prospective clients
5. Attend and participate in IIC meetings including presenting to the IIC where appropriate

B. Assist with the execution of infrastructure investments, divestments and co-investments:

1. Assist with the overall execution of Infrastructure investments, including liaising with third party advisers as appropriate
2. analysis of key investment characteristics through research

C. Assist with Monitoring of infrastructure investments:

1. Coordinate and work collaboratively to monitoring activities of selected existing investments and certain portfolio level activities
2. Monitor financial and operational performance of selected infrastructure investments
3. Inputting into reporting materials for the Investment and Valuation Committees
4. Assisting in developing, monitoring and reporting of strategic asset management activities on specific assets
5. Assist in preparing investment review updates for quarterly investor reporting

Requirements:

• At least 2 years prior experience in financial services within a transaction team from a leading bank, fund, or accountancy firm
• Prior Power, Utilities, Infrastructure or Transport experience desired
• Familiarity with Private Equity or Infrastructure investment activity is an advantage
• Strong modelling and analytical skills is a must
