We are looking for an accountant to join our finance team as a Group Consolidation Accountant where you will perform and manage the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing consolidation, this should include income Statement, Balance Sheet and capital position plus commentary; furthermore you will ensure completeness and accuracy of the general ledger and all consolidation entries and eliminations.

Key accountabilities & deliverables
  • Support the preparation and disclosures required for the annual US GAAP financial statements;
  • Keep up to date with technical accounting developments and be able to communicate and implement any changes alongside finance teams in both the UK and US;
  • Responsible for oversight of all inter-company transactions and reconciliation;
  • Coordinate reporting deliverables with other finance teams for timely financial reporting;
  • Work with reserving actuaries to ensure booked reserves are in accordance with agreed position and all reserves fully reconciled;
  • Responsible for internal control processes and documentation to a SOX-compliant level;
  • Prepare technical accounting memos, working in conjunction with Group technical accounting team;
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, and many other group functions, as required;
  • Provide Enstar's senior management with financial analysis of assigned accounts when required;

Skills and Experience
  • Qualified accountant
  • Solid understanding of Insurance accounting - ideally within reconciliation work
  • Excellent Excel and Data Analysis skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks to meet established and changing deadlines
