This well known "blue chip" organisation is looking to recruit a Cost Controller to join their Project Management Team for an interim assignment to assist with the cost control and finance analysis on their core projects both internally and externally.
The Cost Controller ensures accurate, timely and value-added analysis and reporting on a project or projects. This will contribute to the effective running of projects and comprises responsibility for, but not limited to cost performance status reporting.
The role ensures the provision of all cost control on the project including budget set up, updates and monitoring, change management, variation estimating, cost reporting, risk contingency and management as well as all forecasting activities. The role reports functionally to Cost Control Manager and directly to Project Control Manager on a specific project.
Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-Set up new projects in SAP with relevant codes, milestones and adequate level of WBS
-Monitor expenditure against budget
-Review Month End Actuals and Forecast from Deliverers
-Update SAP with the relevant financial information including accrual management
-Commitment tracking and reporting on Minor Capital Works and other areas
-Cost variance analysis and trending, attend monthly variance meetings
-Provide cost data inputs for dashboard updates
-Liaise with OPEX Accountant to support reporting of Totex value of programme
-Prepare presentation materials for the monthly Infra Programmes performance meeting
-Production of monthly finance reports and presenting these at the Capex Review meeting with Finance
-Support the PMs with AIC submissions and complete IC checklists
-Run H&S Monthly Infra Programmes reports
As the ideal candidate, you will be an experienced Cost Controller with extensive experience working with the project team. You will be a part or fully qualified accountant. You will be able to start a contract on short notice.
