Junior Scrum Master

(12 Month Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a Junior Scrum Master to join our growing, ambitious and fast-paced team responsible for the spacenk.com ecommerce platform. This role will help shape the efficiency and productivity of the development team. The right candidate will be a strong team player who is able to motivate cross-functional resources in the delivery of continuous website enhancements.

Your Responsibilities

• Own daily stand up, sprint planning, sprint demos and retrospective meetings

• Own, educate and enforce Jira best practices

• Report on sprint progress using effective metrics that enable better sprint forecasting and capacity planning

• Support the Product Owner and Project Manager with grooming, maintaining the product backlog, roadmapping and project delivery

• Facilitate cross departmental INVEST sessions

• Proactively remove any blockers that jeopardize the teams sprint commitments

• Triage ad hoc BAU development tasks to the front end team whilst ensuring briefing processes, delivery timelines and a high standard of work are adhered to

• Involvement in full development life cycle; design, coding, test, build, QA, deployment and maintenance

• Provide clear, accurate and regular updates to the wider Space NK team on issue progress during a sprint

• Identify and apply the right practices and tools to improve organisation, collaboration and team culture

• Guide the team on how they can improve agile delivery

About You

• Must have 1-2 years' experience in a Scrum Master role or equivalent

• Excellent knowledge of Jira

• A background in ecommerce is desirable

• Outstanding communication and organisational skills

• Able to self-manage, be proactive, take ownership and drive solutions through from inception to production

• Able to anticipate and highlight problems before they arise
