About the role:
The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative agile team comprised of business subject matter experts (SMEs), test analysts and developers that sprints at a two-weekly cadence. In this role the successful candidate will redevelop our customer facing products using the latest technologies like ASP.NET core, Azure, MongoDB, NServiceBus and vue.js. They will be part of an agile team building a modern scalable and flexible microservices architecture to support the future vision of our company.
The successful candidate will also be experienced in building scalable distributed applications and be able to contribute to technology choices. The role will involve:
> Working as part of the IT Dev team, ensuring software is designed, developed and unit tested in line with Agile/DevOps practices and modern software engineering principles to optimise velocity and quality.
> Working to tight timescales and on prioritised User Stories with the Dev Lead and Product Owner.
> Collaboration with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to raise issues, impediments and blockages.
> Sharing and implementing best practice.
The successful candidate will take pride in delivery, continuous improvement and capability development. Their background will include:
> .NET Core.
> Minimum of two years' experience of C#.
> Minimum of two years' experience of ASP.NET MVC4+.
> Two years' experience of HTML5/CSS, Typescript.
> Two years' experience of SQL Server.
> Two years' experience of GIT.
> Experience of Azure DevOps.
> Experienced in working within an agile framework (Scrum with two-week sprints).
> Degree qualification - preferably within maths, science, computer science or a similar subject.
> Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
> Visual Studio Team Services, Automated Release and Continuous Integration Builds.
> NoSQL database (Mongo).
> Azure Service Bus, nServiceBus.
> Test Automation using Selenium.
