Background
Vuulr is a B2B technology company that is transforming the process of licencing Films & TV Shows globally.
Filmmakers and Producers of TV content make their money by selling the rights to their content to broadcasters (e.g. Mediacorp, Discovery) and streaming platforms (e.g. Netflix, Viu, etc) to show to their audiences.
But the way the industry has been doing this until now has been manual, slow and expensive. Vuulr has launched an online marketplace (vuulr.com) to revolutionise how the industry trades with one another, making the process faster, cheaper and more efficient. We have accelerated the time it takes to trade content rights from 3-6 months, to an average of 8-10 days!
And with 135k+ hrs now listed, and 11k+ approved users, in just 2 years we have become the global leaders and the business is expanding fast.
Opportunity
The business is growing fast and we're now looking to find like-minded sales Partners in the territories around the world which we cannot physically cover.
You will become an important extension of Vuulr's sales force, joining 30+ Partners already signed up. We call this the Vuulr Partner Programme (VPP): https://corp.vuulr.com/vuulr-partner-program/
And given the current COVID restrictions (forcing people to work with online solutions like us) coupled with our friendly commercial terms (no upfront costs for either side) Vuulr is an attractive proposition to refer onwards.
Skills
You would ideally have a combination of a) time available and b) strong relationships with a deep industry network and c) ideally a good knowledge of the process of licencing content rights
Objectives & Scope
Liasing with Vuulr's COO, who runs the VPP programme, your role would be to simply introduce Buyers (acquisitions teams from Broadcasters / Streaming platforms) and Sellers (Film Studios/Production Houses/Distributors) to register and become active on the Vuulr platform.
Vuulr has a full built out team of 20+ people who will take care of all the other aspects - onboarding, listing, marketing, deal negotiation support, billings etc. We will also arm you with sales assets to help you excel in your job.
Measures of success:
Remuneration
As mentioned, this is a commission-only role. However, Vuulr passes through ALL its commission for the first 2 years of your referrals' activity on Vuulr platform, and shares it 50-50% for the 3rd year. Any referral must successfully transact to earn your commission (even we don't earn a $ from our users until this happens!) and we have a simple but effective tracking mechanism to ensure you are rewarded.
Qualifications
Personality, aptitude and attitude are far more important than certificates and qualifications. You must simply have a culture fit with a fast moving, sales oriented, hungry start-up; and you would share our vision of transforming the content rights industry, democratising access to great content from around the world, and reducing costs for the indsutry.

- Convert unregistered Buyers / Sellers to registered (free registration)
- Convert dormant registered Buyers / Sellers to becoming active
- Promote Vuulr content marketing on your own social channels
- Evangelise the transformation to online for content rights licencing and acquisition
Vuulr has a full built out team of 20+ people who will take care of all the other aspects - onboarding, listing, marketing, deal negotiation support, billings etc. We will also arm you with sales assets to help you excel in your job.
Measures of success:
- Buyer / Seller registrations associated to you
- Activity from the Buyers / Sellers associated to you, i.e:
- Buyers: making Offers and Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Sellers: listing titles and responding to Offers and RFPs
