Role Purpose:
Key Accountabilities:
Experience:
- You be working in team environment where you will be expected to perform your tasks with a minimum of supervision to check, validate, commission, install/power equipment and test Colt services across a wide range of technologies and customer sites
- Instrumental in realising the Service Delivery pipeline
- Hit regular MRR/NPS/KPI targets.
- Includes out of hours working
- Build good working relationships with internal and external departments within SD and beyond, thus supporting the SD revenue drive and wider company initiatives.
- Commitment to all aspects of quality improvement
Key Accountabilities:
- Work with a minimum of supervision to deliver digital and voice services to a demanding business customer base using mainly fibre optic technology.
- Execute Customer and Node Installations, with flexibility for conducting in and out of hours work to meet customer demands
- Represent installations team on projects.
- UAT (user acceptance testing) and ORT (operational readiness testing) for new equipment/systems/testers. Be SPOC and local trainer for 3rd parties
- Technically validate orders and circuit routing ensuring they are in a ready to go status before passing to the scheduling team or to 3rd party vendors
- Quality conscious to continually improve the quality of customer site installations and reduce the bring into service incidents (BIS)
- Proactively manage/support external contractors and associated processes
Experience:
- Proven technical experience of working on DWDM (Ciena /ADVA), Ethernet, IP and voice services.
- Target driven and fully conversant with task pipeline management
- Strong relationship building skills with both internal and external parties
- Previous experience of taking the lead on successful projects
- Professional, self-reliant and motivated individual
- Proven organisational, planning and communication skills
- Must have the ability to function and adapt in a highly pressurised environment
- Proven team worker in cross-functional tasks across all disciplines
- Competent in MS word, excel.
- Can work out of business hours supporting customer installation techs
