Sonocent is looking for a software Product Manager to help us succeed in our mission to re-imagine note-taking, and in turn, revolutionise students' learning journeys. As a highly skilled and professional, commercially led Product Manager, you will be part of an award-winning company that has transformed how hundreds of thousands of students learn globally.

You will be driving a part of the Sonocent product portfolio, collaborating with a team of Product Managers together with internal stakeholders from Engineering, Sales, Marketing and of course externally with customers, partners and analysts to ensure a rounded approach to driving the solution forwards in advance of the needs of the Sonocent customer.


  • Responsible for managing the planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle - from strategic planning to tactical activities. This includes gathering and prioritizing the vision, market, product and customer requirements, working closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are surpassed
  • Stewardship of the Sonocent user personas including regular maintenance to ensure ongoing accuracy
  • Own and drive the business plan(s) for the solution, working with key stakeholders to ensure the most effective decisions are reached regarding the lifecycle of the solution offering
  • Own and manage the ongoing product roadmap and work closely with Engineering to ensure that the solution(s) delivered fulfils the needs of the customers in a timely manner
  • Support the go to market execution to ensure growth and operations are ready across all markets
  • Conduct technical research of both new features and competitor analysis along with business intelligence in support of the product roadmap
  • Support the Marketing team and Product Marketing with product and solution collateral to position the appropriate solution / product in its best possible light always
  • Promote the product line and business in general through analyst briefing sessions as appropriate


You will have solid, demonstrable experience and understanding regarding software product management and possess a high level general technical understanding of software development and delivery. Your background will also clearly demonstrate significant knowledge in SaaS software management, preferably in a Product Management or Product Marketing guise.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience of Product Management and / or Marketing within a high-tech company with focus on software management
  • An ability to clearly define the Product Owner / Technical Product Manager, Product Manager and Product Marketing roles and understand the cross over between these roles in an agile software development environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
  • Commercial acumen: a proven track record of understanding business value, with a key sensitivity to understanding sales and marketing challenges and building collateral to positively manage such challenges with the objective of strengthening business and making product / solution sales
  • Attitude: focused on building solutions with the customer always in mind while ensuring that sales and product profitability / revenue remains front and center
  • Results oriented: structured and organized as an individual with execution as a key orientation for driving results
  • Experience of operating within a B2B business environment
  • High level of experience of working with channel partners as a means of go to market
  • Understanding of what it takes to operate in a start-up environment

It would be beneficial if you also possess:

  • Certification from Pragmatic Marketing (PMC V or VI)
  • Experience of operating within a B2C business environment
  • Experience of operating as a Product Owner and / or Business Analyst for an enterprise software vendor
