Senior Software Engineer (Front End)| New Platform Build for one of the UK's Top Visited Websites

Location: Central London (with remote working)

Salary: £80,000 - £105,000 plus bonus plus incentive plan

Are you a highly skilled Lead/Senior Front End Engineer with a passion for collaborating, teaching and learning who wants to remain hands on, contributing code within the scrum team while helping shape the team culture and setting the Engineering standards by line managing teams from four up to eight?

Do you enjoy building products that are used by millions of people and having an input into what is made?

Front end Lead/Senior: We're working with one of the UK's most visited websites to grow their engineering function as they continue to build pioneering, disruptive products.

If you're a good collaborator who approaches Leadership by offering strong, open and honest feedback to other Engineers alongside coaching with real time conversations and feedback, this is the right role.

You'll be part of the leadership community as the "voice on the ground", partnering with other teams sharing best practice.

We want someone who has the ability to solve problems by identifying their own solution and running with it. You will make use of their network as well as their team and solve problems without much guidance.

Tech Stack: You need strong JavaScript principles and React, AWS and TypeScript would be a plus, GraphQL, CI/CD, strong testing understanding (like a Quality Engineer), Server Side Rendering using Next.JS, Node.JS (Node not as important).

The teams are comprised of exceptionally talented engineers and are growing! So we need an Engineer who can challenge them and who aren't afraid to suggest new ideas, bringing with them proven 'war stories' and genuine experience, where they can advise and suggest on technology choices, new processes and techniques.

It's a Poly environment , they like to work with: Golang, C# (.Net and .Net Core), Python, Node.js / JavaScript and Perl here, but remain open to others.

With a clearly defined career framework that prevents politics getting in the way of your progression, and a chance to be a part of something that hasn't been built before in this industry, this really could be a career-defining role for the right person.
