We are excited to be hiring a Solutions Architect to work within our quite newly created engineering function in London. As Solutions Architect, you will work with our existing teams to lead the transformation of our customer applications and shaping the future of our re-platforming project. As we construct a new AWS environment from development to production, you will have the chance to work on a plethora of greenfield projects as we continue to grow. You will enable product teams to move at speed into production, ensure consistency of approach and knowledge- share across products.

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect who is interested in working in a small but growing team to continue evolving the product using some of the latest technologies available. You will work with teams across Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible and a collections of AWS services.

The role will include working collaboratively with our London Engineering and Product teams as well as our nearshore developers in EMEA and our IT team based in Memphis, US. This position will be responsible for guiding the design and implementation of new and existing digital products with a focus on transforming our digital offering.

Responsibilities:

*Liaise with senior stakeholders across various functions to understand fully the emerging new needs of business and with internal and external Engineers and Lead Engineers to design best in class solution architecture

*Ensure compliance to solution architectural design in the implementation of projects

*Provide architectural guidance to the project team

*Render consulting and technical support services on project implementation to the project teams

*Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to stakeholders and other IT professionals

*Keep accurate record of materials used, expected deliverables, and milestones achieved

*Guide the activities of the solution architecture unit to ensure timely completion of projects

*Ensure that solution architecture (software and programs) designed are in sync with business needs and hardware

*Monitor the activities of internal and external programmers /developers on IT solution projects

*Identify and mitigate existing business risk or risks associated with solution architecture.

About you:

  • AWS Certification Essential
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect (2-4years min)
  • Strong collaborative communication skills
  • Analytical thinking: An analytical thinker with the ability to evaluate the likely effects of particular programs on the profitability of the businesses
  • .Good technical knowledge of Java and the Spring framework.
  • Knowledge of common web technologies, such as ELK and cloud services.
  • Adept at problem solving and support engineering teams' decision making.
  • Experienced at working in cross-team, agile environments.
  • Understanding of current trends and wider technologies.
  • Experience working with remote teams and an ability to work autonomously.


This role is based in our riverside offices in London, but remote working can be considered with regular travel to the office.
