Senior Marketing Manager - Awards / Events - (6-9 Months Fixed Term Contract) - London

Marketing Talent is excited to once again be supporting this global B2B publishing brand in their search for a Senior Marketing Manager for a 6-9 Month fixed term contract. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for delivering the marketing strategy for a large portfolio of global B2B Awards & Accreditations.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of B2B awards and / or events (with awards) marketing experience on an international scale
  • Extensive marketing experience within the B2B financial and/or professional services industries
  • Experience managing award and/or accreditation programs, preferred
  • Strong understanding of best practices in B2B lead generation across the full range of digital channels including email, social media, SEO/SEM, and pay-for-performance ads
  • Solid experience using CRM (ideally Salesforce) and marketing automation tools (e.g. Marketo)
  • Good experience with data segmentation and selection for marketing campaigns
  • Strong eye for design and experience working with designers and/or creative agencies
  • Demonstrated success working with sales and aligning marketing to business objectives
  • Excellent ability to manage a large number of projects and prioritize according to business needs
  • Ability to operate at a strategic and tactical level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using design tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, preferred



Responsibilities:

Awards marketing


  • Develop a standardized and best-in-class framework for how to market awards to build brand equity and generate demand for sponsorships, content marketing and logo licensing
  • Plan and deliver marketing campaigns to achieve these objectives, with a focus on digital channels such as search marketing, social media and email marketing
  • Lead the creation of high-quality brand and campaign assets, working with the designers on the team
  • Increase efficiency by developing templates for marketing campaigns at each stage of the Awards lifecycle. This will include assets like landing pages, emails and advertising assets


Accreditation marketing


  • Deliver marketing strategies to increase participation in research/surveys and promote the results
  • Design and execute sophisticated content marketing campaigns that increase the longevity of flagship research programs
  • Identify and develop opportunities to innovate the approach to accreditation marketing and unlock new commercial opportunities


Team management and relationship building
  • Direct the work of the Marketing Manager on the team, and coordinate work with designers to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality creative assets
  • Develop close collaboration with key stakeholder groups including Sales, Product and Research
  • Advise on marketing budgets and oversee all Awards and Accreditation marketing spend



Salary is c£55k Basic, pro rata. Duration will 6-9 Months, and there may be the opportunity to become permanent after the contract has finished.
