IT Manager for a growing manufacturer based in Barnsley, paying up to £50,000 per annum

Your new company are a successful manufacturing firm based in Barnsley, who over the past years have seen strong growth in terms of turnover and workforce. Due to their continued success, and their imminent move to a bigger site, they're seeking an IT Manager to oversee their support staff and Infrastructure systems. As the business is growing, fast paced and dynamic, they're seeking an individual who wants to embrace that challenge and join them on the growth journey.
Your new role
Within the role, you'll have the responsibility for both the IT staff members and systems controlled by them, ensuring the integrity, control and effective operation of all computer systems, telecoms equipment, related applications, hardware and software that is used within the business. You'll lead on and deliver major IT projects including operational IT projects, system updates, upgrades, migrations & outages, all whilst maintaining the company's IT infrastructure through the monitoring, development and support. Alongside the technical aspect, you'll lead on the company's IT Strategy, developing with the business to ensure systems and processes are fit for purpose and within budget. You'll take the lead on IT Security and Disaster Recovery planning, along with software compliance and license reviews. Lastly, you'll look to implement and drive forward continuous improvements on service delivery by identifying improvements within platforms, infrastructure and support structures.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed within this role, you'll have previous experience working within an IT Leadership role, being able to demonstrate skills around organisation, operations and financial management within an IT department. You'll be able to coordinate IT support, training, and orientation for new technology users and have a good knowledge of current IT trends and best practice IT Frameworks. You'll have a strong working knowledge and understanding of computer systems, applications and operating systems including ERP/WMS systems (OrderWise), Office 365, SQL Servers, Microsoft Office (Excel and Access essential), IP Telephony, VMWare or Veeam and AntiVirus software.
