We are on the hunt for a hands-on Head of Development to head up a small team providing generic and customised solutions for clients using MS Dynamics, Power Apps and Robotic Process Automation Tools. We'd expect the role to be split roughly 50 50 between hands-on Development work and other duties.Main Duties And Responsibilities
As Head of Development you would work with clients to define project scope and requirements, managing entire project lifecycles and resources. Naturally, this involves conducting the technical design of the project, undertaking coding and developing, robust testing to ensure high quality, and managing project deployment.
Alongside project responsibilities you will lead the development team, including monthly 1 1s to support team members in reaching their development goals and KPIs. You will have a responsibility to introduce and oversee processes and practices to ensure high standards, and maintain up to date knowledge of our operational procedures. We encourage collaborative attitudes and participation in company-wide initiatives, and a proactive, happy-to-help-out mentality.About You
The right person must be flexible and organised, with at least five years' experience as a Developer doing end-to-end project management and delivery in an agile environment, ideally with external clients, and experience of team leadership or supervision. You'll be a confident communicator adept at multi-tasking, and will have an ability to see beyond the detail to reach the end goal. You'll be collaborative and diplomatic, but able to stick to your guns when needed.
