Investment Associate (Power & Renewables) Emerging Markets Private Equity

This is an opportunity to join a specialist Private Equity firm investing across Energy and Natural Resources. The business focuses on Power, Mining, Oil & Gas.

The Role

• The Associate supports the origination and execution of transactions, reporting to the VPs and Directors within the Power team
• Create financial models to evaluate the advantages and risks of potential and existing investments
• Investment committee presentations and assisting with due diligence
• In-depth research and analysis of countries, industries, and companies and the management of existing portfolio investments
• Work with the portfolio companies to assist in the execution of their respective business plans from initial investment to exit
• Effectively work with external counterparties to evaluate, structure, finance potential and existing investments

The Candidate

• 2-4 years of investment banking, private equity, or other transaction-related experience, preferably with a background in power and renewables, or infrastructure
• A business undergraduate degree (Economics or Finance) or related field
• High competency of corporate finance and accounting concepts
• Experience creating and reviewing financial models (high level)
• Master of Finance, CFA, CPA or other advanced designation considered an asset
• Fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese is plus
