Complete and total Rubbish
The UK produces over 60 million tonnes of non-recyclable rubbish every year, but your old banana peels and last night's leftovers can be more than just food for the seagulls and rats.
Your waste can now be clean.
Thanks to the push for clean energy, the amount of power generated from captured landfill gases has increased hugely over the past decade and there are now hundreds of sites across the UK generating low-carbon power. We all know that Green Energy is the future, and is a sector which has been booming even during the current crisis.
In the role of Electrical Engineer you would be working for one of the few companies in the UK with a negative carbon footprint, contributing a positive impact towards climate change. You would be covering their East region, which focuses on sites clustered around Sheffield to Nottingham.
You would be dealing with the mainly reactive servicing, fault-finding and repair of a variety of electrical equipment including alternators, inverters, transformers, generators, switchgear, control panels and protection systems. You would have supervisory responsibility over one Electrical Technician who would also cover the same region, and so would be able to plan and direct their workload.
A company van will be provided, so as long as you have High Voltage electrical maintenance experience ideally within an industry such as power generation, manufacturing, power distribution or steel then you can be considered.
This role will offer you the opportunity to work in a diverse, growing, medium-sized business who foster a collaborative approach, with the chance to grow and develop within the company and broaden your skills.
The package will be around £40,000 - £45,000 depending on your extent and relevance of experience, plus up to 10% bonus paid on a quarterly basis, a company van which can also be used for personal use and 25 days holiday. This is generally a days-based Monday-to-Friday role.
