We are assisting this client in the recruitment of a Development Manager / Lead with a solid background in JavaScript to join their new Manchester tech hub! Heading up the Manchester JavaScript team, your role will be pivotal in the success of the business' digital offerings in the coming years. This company encourages their teams to be open, collaborative and forward thinking, and the Manchester office is going to be no different! The JavaScript team will largely focus on the continuous improvement of their leading 2D / 3D CAD tool that is accompanied by a planning application and allows their products to come to life. As the Development Manager, you will have a real say in architectural decisions around the structure of the planning application and take ownership of solving large technical challenges. Alongside the rest of the team, you will develop APIs to ensure that the application is being fed with top quality information from across the business and ensure it remains secure. Wren work to Agile methodologies and ensure their development teams get solid documentation to work with, pulled together by dedicated Business Analysts and prioritised by Technical Project Managers!

  • Proven commercial software development experience as a Lead Developer / Development Manager using JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Ability to lead a team of developers and remain hands-on with development yourself
  • Ability to work in Manchester City Centre - this role does not offer remote working and we are unable to progress applications from candidates who need to relocate at this time
