Copywriter - Entry Level - Graduates Welcome
Devon (home based, with travel into Exeter once restrictions allow)
At Webrecruit, we're a recruitment advertising and software company, a rare combination of creatives, developers, thought leaders and sales professionals who collaborate to create practical, usable solutions to clients' recruitment needs.
We do something called Hybrid Recruitment - we're not all recruitment advertising and we're not focused on just making software. We are advertising, recruitment and hiring software experts providing fully rounded solutions that meet a company's entire recruitment needs, from producing an advert to attracting the right people and onboarding them via our market-leading hiring platform software.
And we're certainly not just dipping our toes in the water - we've been at this since 2001, we got through the chaos of 2020 and we're firing on all cylinders. Due to our continuing success, we are many clients' first stop for their advertising needs and with that in mind, we are continuing to see ever increasing demands for our support from new and existing clients.
On a daily basis, our Copywriters create some of the best written job adverts in the market. We use the information provided by clients, coupled with our own research and expertise and a good deal of creativity to deliver exciting, informative adverts that delight clients and attract candidates.
A key element of your role will be to liaise with clients regarding their needs and helping to manage an inbound email inbox as part of a team effort. As well as exemplary writing skills, you'll also need to be professional in your interactions and responsive to their needs.
What we're looking for:
Our Copywriters come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but we will be interested in your application if you possess at least one of the following:
- Previous experience as a Copywriter
- A degree level qualification in a discipline such as Journalism, English or a writing-focused subject
- A recruitment background (with the desire to move into a creative field)
- A creative streak (and the ability to prove your skills!)
Ideal candidates will have experience of creating job adverts for professional purposes, but this is by no means necessary as we are all about training and professional development.
What will you get in return?
- Salary of up to £18,500 DOE (pro rata)
- Bonus scheme (after probation)
- Pension scheme
- 23 days' holiday pro rata (increasing with service to 25)
- Dress down policy
- Work from home
- Comprehensive training
You'll find we are a diverse team of individuals with a breadth of experience, backgrounds and interests and this all contributes to our workplace being something we at Webrecruit are proud of.
We're work-from-homers, Zoom 'meetingers' and DM chatters these days - we're constantly in touch with one another despite being distanced. We'll be going back to the office when it is safe to do so but on a part-time basis, so primarily we'll be working from home.
Interviews will be held via video chat and the recruitment process will consist of writing and skills tests alongside the application and interview process.
This role is offered on a part-time basis with the potential to become full time, dependent on the needs of the company. Exact working hours will be discussed during the recruitment process.
Other organisations may call this role Trainee Copywriter, Graduate Copywriter, Graduate Copywriter, Copywriter, Online Copywriter, Copy Editor, Trainee Writer, or Graduate Writer.
Webrecruit is an equal opportunities employer, values diversity and is strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
