I am working alongside a well established PRU in Hounslow, West London as they are looking to appoint a SENCO to work at KS4. The position is to start in January 2013 and will run for a year minimum.

They are looking for someone who is used to holding annual reviews, completing in depth reports on the pupils and is happy to teach English/Literacy in addition to the standard SENCO duties.

The organisation in question educates students who have been referred via these main routes -

- Permanent exclusion from a mainstream school.
- A special tuition request.
- A managed move from a mainstream school.
- SEN Panel.
- Transfer from a local specialist Primary School at Year 7.

The Service consists of cross phase provision at KS1, 2, 3 & 4. They also manage, tutors and monitors the educational provision for pregnant school girls and young mothers. The Service also provides interim tuition support for KS4 Looked After Children returning into Local Authority Care and for students under YOT (Youth Offending Team).
