1st / 2nd Line IT Support Engineer, Witney, £25,000pa - £30,000pa plus benefits:

A leading Oxfordshire business with a rich history within their industry is looking to recruit a 1st & 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their talented IT team. With stunning barn offices set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside (car is essential), online technical training and the perfect balance between hands on and remote support, this role is surely one not to be missed.

The role:

The 1st & 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will be supporting 250 users across 30 UK sites, providing remote and hands on 1st & 2nd Line IT Support across desktop & network infrastructure technology. On occasion you will need to visit other sites to deliver support and projects, but this will be only once a month. On a day to day basis you will monitor service desk incidents and requests, escalating where appropriate but trying to resolve first time, this will cover hardware and software faults, operating systems, hardware, telephony, printing and peripherals. You will also monitor server logs and install operating systems and application software on desktop computers (Windows).

About you:

The successful 1st & 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will need prior experience in an IT Support role, ideally covering both 1st & 2nd Line. You may be a 1st liner looking to transition into a duel 1st & 2nd Line role. Ideally you will have some of IT qualification, either from your education or self-studied. The following technical and non-technical skills are also essential:

Windows 10
Active Directory & Microsoft Servers
VMWare and Veeam
Excellent communication
A confident, proactive and an organised approach to work
Ability to communicate effectively to all departments
Ability to liaise with third party contacts to ensure the best possible service is delivered
Strong focus on customer service, user interaction and the ability to manage customer expectations
