Job Details

This delightful and well resourced SEN school leads the way in education for autistic students. They specialise in transforming lives, changing attitudes and helping to create a society that works for autistic adults and children.

This school aspires to change attitudes by improving public understanding of autism and the difficulties many autistic people face.

The school are looking for:

A qualified Primary of Secondary Teacher who would love a challenge, someone who is looking for a position that will be exciting, professionally demanding, stimulating and rewarding in (usually) equal measures.

Do you have a sense of humour? Are you naturally resilient and a team player who can work collaboratively in a multi professional team? And, most importantly are you a highly skilled creative teacher who can ensure every pupil makes good progress from individual starting points?

If you have genuine passion and enthusiasm for making a difference and can deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum we want to hear from you.

You will:
  • Embrace the changing landscape in specialist education and oversee the development and operational management of the school with the support of the UK's leading charity for people with autism.
  • Create a distinctive culture and philosophy so that from the moment a person enters the building they will know this is a school where pupils are respected, achieve beyond what is expected, are empowered to make positive choices about their own lives and have rich and varied experiences.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities (including those of innovation and vision), as well as demonstrating specialist ASD knowledge (through experience and practice).
