An immediate need for a Payroll Clerk to cover a maternity contract in Colchester.
Your new company
This established firm of Chartered Accountants are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to take responsibility in processing payroll on behalf of their clients across various business sectors. This will be a temporary role due to maternity leave.
Your new role
In this temporary payroll job you will be responsible for collating the payroll data from the firms clients to process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll. This will involve checking the data, uploading into the payroll into Sage Payroll and arranging payment. You will of course deduct NI, Tax and any other statutory payments and submit a RTI to HMRC on each payroll run. As an experienced payroll clerk you will assist with any pay queries and highlight any concerns to the client and partners.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced payroll clerk / payroll officer who can demonstrate proven experience in managing ideally multiple payrolls and be able to take sole responsibility of the task. As this is a maternity contract you will be immediately available or available at short-notice and willing to commitment to a contract role.
What you'll get in return
The business offers a salary of circa £25,000 and at the moment the role will be office-based.
