Job Details
We are looking to recruit PSV Technicians to join our Engineering team based at a depot in Potters Bar, working a Monday to Friday early and late pattern off with overtime when required.
The Role:
• Carry out repairs, inspections and maintenance of our public service fleet vehicles
• Investigate, diagnose and record modern vehicle mechanical & electronic faults
• Able to work well using own initiative
• Clearly document faults and rectification work conducted in detail with the aid of electronic tablets
• Confidently use modern technical computer systems of fleet management
• Able to read and interpret instructions and service manuals
• Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times
• Always follow safety instructions in respect of your role and the business as a whole and report unsafe acts or omissions of safety
• Undertake any other duties commensurate with the job role
The Candidate:
• Must have qualifications for maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles to a minimum of NVQ level 2 or any equivalent international qualification, which will require an associated confirmation from an awarding body
• Able to communicate effectively and have the confidence to work collaboratively with colleagues within Engineering and other departments is essential
• Must be punctual and meet deadlines and work flexibly when required
• Must be prepared to undertake training as seen fit by the Service Manager
