Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer on a permanent basis working at our modern and purpose-built Luton (Capability Green) site. The Senior Systems Engineer will need to be a talented and highly experienced systems engineer, familiar with working within an Agile development framework to design and delivery user-centric software systems within the defence industry.
The Senior Systems Engineer will have extensive experience of full lifecycle systems engineering, with key focus on requirements elicitation, definition and decomposition, as well as associated test planning, execution, and evidence-based demonstration of requirements and design compliance to achieve certification and acceptance by internal and external assessors. The role inherently requires a strong aptitude for problem solving and an ability to understand complex interdependencies, as well as managing requirements and design inputs from multiple stakeholder groups.
This Senior Systems Engineer role is within the Integrated Mission Solutions business group and will focus on developing desktop programming and analysis toolsets, which provide users with the ability to configure Electronic Warfare (EW) sensor systems with mission-specific capabilities; this ability allows aircraft to more effectively to identify and counter threats, as well as providing an improved understanding of detected threat systems through post-mission analysis to further enhance future mission effectiveness and platform survivability.
