An FMCG company based in Northamptonshire are looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to join there busy Operations department. This role will work Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30 pm and has management responsibility for 5 direct reports.

Commutable from: Corby, Northampton, Northamptonshire, Kettering, Market Harborough, Peterborough, Leicestershire, Thrapston, Oundle, Wellingborough, Daventry, Rugby

Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 50,000 p.a. plus bonus scheme, company pension, 25 days holiday plus bank, health plan, company funded training, and birthday day off!

The Role

Engineering Manager responsibilities:

Ensure machinery is kept in good working order by carrying out scheduled timely maintenance, as well as unplanned when needed
Implement and maintain a maintenance schedule that will achieve the highest standard of engineering
Educate and work alongside production teams and management to reduce machine down time.
Manage a team of engineers ensuring training, development and performance reviews are undertaken
Uphold standards and maintain records covering machine downtime, reasons and maintenance schedules
Work closely with the facilities manager to manage projects and source equipment
Complete HACCP flow charts for areas of responsibility and complete all risk assessments when necessary.

The Person

As the Engineering Manager:

HNC in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
Vocational qualification in people management
IOSH qualification or similar
Food hygiene level 3 qualification
Fork lift truck driver, scissor lift and boom license trained desirable
Experience of food manufacturing engineering
Experience of packing, mixing, flow wrapping and extrusion machinery
A confident communicator who is able to deal with team working issues in a timely and positive fashion
