TRANSCREATION ACCOUNT MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

  • Title: Transcreation Account Manager
  • Location: China (only Chinese native speakers)
  • Start: 1st March 2021


This Transcreation Account Management position will be a diverse, challenging and client-facing role.

You will be dealing with a variety of transcreation and translation projects, and liaising with the team internally, clients and suppliers. You will be responsible for understanding the client's needs, compiling briefs for the internal production teams and external language teams and manage transcreation projects from beginning to end, with increasing autonomy as the existing workflows and processes are learned. As part of your responsibilities, it will be key for you to educate the client on language workflows and manage client's expectations. You may be asked to support the team with projects & reasonable tasks unrelated to your accounts as well as with new projects that have not yet been assigned. You will adopt existing processes as well as any new processes and procedures as they are introduced to the team.

Ultimately, the role requires excellent client management and transcreation project management know-how.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TRANSCREATION ACCOUNT MANAGER:

  • Respond to client requests for new project initiatives. The Account Manager collaborates and works with various members of the production team to assess the scope of work and produce cost estimates for localisation projects
  • The Account Manager assesses the competitive landscape, develops project proposal and negotiates budget and schedule with the client
  • Initiate all project related work by providing detailed budget, schedule and brief to the linguists and by anticipating pitfalls or potential roadblocks to successful completion. The Account Manager is responsible for ensuring that any pitfalls are addressed and resolved on a timely manner
  • Support the new business efforts by attending sales meetings, participating in sales calls, preparing RFPs and cost estimates
  • Attend client meetings on-site when required
  • Take a proactive role in learning about clients' industry, business needs and company culture, identifying new business opportunities, providing a high level of service
  • Monitor and communicate project progress, ensure strict adherence to deadlines and budgets and ultimately produce high quality deliverables
  • Serve as the central point of contact for and liaison between external clients and internal production staff
  • Set and fulfil client expectations
  • Create reports based on activity as necessary


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • +3 years of experience in Account Management
  • Client-facing experience
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree from a 3‐year college or university
  • Experience in transcreation
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer management
  • Experience with DTP
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Willingness to travel
