Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off shifts
A fantastic opportunity to join an expanding, forward thinking Production/Print plant based in Liverpool. Our client, who are part of a German owned group have several facilities within Europe and turnover in excess of £1bn. Our client are currently looking to increase their shift engineering team with an experienced electrical engineer responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the various production machines on site.
This role suits someone used to working in within a fast moving manufacturing/production/print environment, with the ability to work on proactive planned and reactive maintenance The role has some great variety and will involve joining an experienced team covering a range of mechanical tasks, should this sound like it appeals then it would be great to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting into the Engineering Manager this role is responsible for all site plant and machinery requirements and maintenance
Minimize potential downtime in the production process across the site
Ensure the equipment and its environment is operated and cared for, meeting all current legislation and company standards
Striving to continuously improve process efficiency, eliminating unnecessary costs from the business
Repair and maintain all electrical factory equipment and machinery in a timely efficient manner
Ensure departmental standard operating procedures are adhered to
Ensure all reporting is well presented, comprehensive and fully completed
Respond to breakdowns and carry out remedial work independently
Working from and interpreting electrical schematic drawings
Maintain excellent health and safety practice and carry out lock off procedures
Include HS&E concerns/issues within regular documented team briefings, feedback relevant information to HS&E Manager using the appropriate documentation system
Can demonstrate excellent customer focused behaviours
Qualification/Experience
FMCG manufacturing background as part of a maintenance team
Be used to working shift patters previously or be happy to work them
Recognised qualification in Electrical engineering/time served
Experience Siemens S7, PLCs
PC literate
