Our client are an award winning accountancy firm with 3 locations across the UK. Due to continue demands within their payroll department they are seeking a payroll assistant to join their team on a permanent full time basis based in Birkenhead.

Our client are a highly successful and supportive workforce. They train, develop and invest in their staff. As the Payroll Assistant you will be joining an established team, reporting into the payroll manager in a busy department with plenty of support and growth opportunities.


The key responsibilities of the payroll assistant will include:
  • Assisting with payroll processing for over 300 staff
  • Collecting, calculating and inputting data
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Processing starters and leavers
  • Payroll queries
  • Calculating deductions, contractual changes and bonuses
  • Annual preparation of P11D's
  • Ad hoc support within the payroll department


The successful payroll assistant will have:
  • Experience processing a high volume of payroll
  • Exposure to Coins payroll system highly advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work well independently or as part of a team
  • Up to date legislation knowledge
