Projects Contract Manager (Water and Wastewater Sector) - Multi Discipline


c£40k - £45k neg dep exp + generous benefits

Our client has been established for almost a decade and specialise in the provision of wastewater solutions from design through to delivery with both municipal and industrial clients across the UK as well as internationally, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an articulate, enthusiastic and experienced Electrical and Mechanical Projects Contract Manager to complement their highly professional team.

Based in prestigious offices in the East Midlands, the successful Projects Contract Manager candidate will be tasked with a range of contract management and coordination activities, encompassing all electrical and mechanical works and associated fabrication management, interfacing with engineers in the field and on site, as well as for the management of suppliers and sub-contractors both on and off site and providing support to the project team to ensure successful on time-within budget project delivery.

You will be responsible for the remote management of suppliers and sub-contractors and will both develop and maintain the project installation programme using EXCEL or MS Project, preparing accurate internal monthly project progress reports for the Company Directors and maintaining a site diary as appropriate.

You will ensure that all project documentation, client sign-off paperwork and associated drawings and documents including method statements, risk assessments, QMS, health and safety training certificates and management cards are maintained and retained as required, along with minutes of customer and site meetings as they occur, and will be skilled in interpreting drawings for fabrication and installation with approved subcontractors and proficient in the use of AutoCad for amending and marking up drawings as required.

With excellent communication skills at all levels, you will be required to liaise extensively with both new and existing customers as well as internal electrical, mechanical and project engineers, suppliers and subcontractors and the team of in-house design engineers, and will also provide additional support in the preparation of tenders and supporting documentation as required.

To be considered for this varied and challenging Projects Contract Manager role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline with at least 3 years wastewater industry sector Contracts Management experience (although a degree is not essential if a candidate can demonstrate at least 5 years' experience in a comparable role within the wastewater sector).

Whilst the role is primarily based near Leicester, a full clean UK driving licence is essential for the position as you will occasionally be required to visit customer or supplier locations.
