Role - Engineering Manager Salary - up to £65,000pa Ref - 4875 Location - Northamptonshire Hendersonbrown are currently recruiting for the role of Engineering Manager with a large scale food manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire
This role will see the successful candidate oversee the engineering department across the entire plant managing projects to site services and a large team of Engineers. You will be working as part of the site senior management team with a goal to develop the plant and upskill the employees. The site is complex and challenging therefore one of the overarching and most important goals is to minimise downtime and keep the site running as smoothly as possible.
The successful candidate will: *Have previous experience running a large engineering department *Have worked in the food manufacturing industry *Be electrically trained/experienced *Need to able to communicate at all levels from board level to shop floor *Be a strong leader and provide direction *To be capable of acting at a detail and strategic level across the department and site *Be able to balance the day to day involvement to run an active department through their direct reports *Drive reliability while controlling the legislative and regularity requirements *Keep a keen eye on costs and be able to manage small and large projects including capital based ones. *Be forward thinking individual able to build on a strong platform and develop the engineering team to meet the needs of the site *Continue to drive the performance of the business through the need to constantly evolve and change. *Additional skills such as CAD would be beneficial.
This role would suit anyone who has either run a site engineering team looking for a fresh challenge in a larger site or an engineering manager in a smaller food business but leading a medium to large engineering team.
