Location - Cambridgeshire
Salary - Circa £40000 DOE
Overview
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client in Cambridgeshire to recruit a finance and HR Manager to join their team. The client is a shopfitting and joinery company who offer the complete package from design to install.
The role
Providing Financial Management and HR for both companies within the group. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person looking for a challenging and varied role within a successful, growing company. You'll work to provide efficient, proactive and professional support to the Managing Director, Contract and Estimating team.
Improve financial systems currently in place, including reporting
Oversee 2 accounts staff members
Cash flow, Debtors and Creditors reports, P&L etc - weekly
Reconcile bank accounts regularly, including credit card account
Enter monthly payroll journals
Review labour systems/payments
Supplier payments, set-up new payees and manage funds
Update cash flow and cashbook regularly
Submit new employee starter information to payroll company
Weekly Finance Meetings and Project Meetings
Manually produce and submit CIS Returns monthly to HMRC
Send CIS statements to subcontractors
Prepare and submit VAT Returns quarterly to HMRC
Project reports weekly for Project Managers and Director
Year-end adjustments and communication with Accountants, monthly meetings
Review expense claims
National Statistics forms
CIS Levy Returns
Manage HR across both companies
New starters, leavers, appraisals, sick leave, annual leave, disciplinary meetings etc
Benefits
The role is a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Competitive salary dependent on experience in the region of £40,000 p.a.
25 days (+ 8 BH) annual leave. N.B - 3 days to be used during Christmas shut-down
