Teacher in Adult ESOL

Salary: £23,504 - £31,832 pro rata

(depending on qualifications & experience)

Hours: 26 hours per week (0.7)

ESOL is a large outstanding curriculum area with excellent achievement rates delivering Skills for Life language learning provision from Pre-Entry-Level 2 in the following subjects: ESOL, Language of Maths and Employment Skills to learners aged 16 and above. The majority of students are adults so some evening work is essential.

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our dedicated and dynamic team of professionals and deliver outstanding teaching within ESOL in Southampton.

The role will suit an applicant who has a teaching qualification and a subject specialism in ESOL.

You will be able to work flexibly to meet requirements and have a strong commitment to team working. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a commitment to excellence.

Knowledge of the curriculum and broad trends and initiatives within the sector is desirable, as is an appreciation of the uses of ICT.

The salary as advertised is within the salary band for this post and your appointment will be based upon your skills, experience and qualifications. Hours of work for this role are part time and will include a minimum of one evening.
