Job Details

A local authority provision is looking for a talented teacher to join their team from January 2021 (dependant on Governments Covid guidance if not available for online teaching..

The role:
• Teaching Secondary school aged children in an alternative school setting - the students are not able to attend mainstream borough schools.
• Involves supporting primary aged children in either a 1:1 setting or teaching in small groups.
• Involves working with children with SEND needs including challenging behaviour.
• Working in the Borough of Bexley
• The role is varied as your timetable changes depending on the children you are working with as the aim of this provision is to reintegrate the pupils where possible or transition to a more appropriate educational setting.

As a teacher for this provision, you will be fully supported, have a varied case-load and have ample time to plan as time is provided within your timetable.

For this role you must be:
• A qualified teacher with at least two years' experience working in either SEN or mainstream.
• Be comfortable supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or leading small groups.
• Confident in your ability in managing challenging and disruptive behaviour.
• Available immediately or ready to start a new role in January dependant on the current Government Covid guidance.
Be available for online tuition should the Schools be in lockdown

Have strong behaviour management and be comfortable in working with children who display, at times, very challenging and disruptive behaviours
- Be able to start as soon as possible and commit to an 'ongoing' role
- Be able to travel to h on a daily Bexley Bourough
