Experience working in procurement/supply covering a broad range of products and services
Knowledge /strong working knowledge of the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and Public Contract Regulations or evidence of working in a similarly regulated procurement environment.
Highly self-motivated with thirst for knowledge and self-development
Understanding/application/working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory procedures and standards
Ability to plan, develop and execute successful category/procurement strategies
Proven stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
Proven ability to translate customer demand into successful procurement tender documentation
Membership of, commitment to, or studying for Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply qualifications or other relevant equivalent professional qualification.
Ideally degree educated
Adaptable and flexible to a changing environment
Proven experience of category management with a good understanding of relevant supply markets and proven stakeholder management skills.
Experience of being in a similar role and able to demonstrate previous achievements
Stakeholder engagement both internally and externally
Ability to build strong relationships

For the ideal candidate, my client is looking to offer a base salary of up to £38,801 plus competitive package with the role
