£36,922 - £40,876 p.a.

37 hours (Monday to Friday) plus on-call rota (one week in four attracting additional payment)

Location: Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) are looking for an experienced, forward thinking, innovative and enthusiastic communications expert to join their team! This role combines the leadership and management of the Corporate Communications Team (which incorporates internal and external comms, including the Service intranet and website) and delivery of strategic messaging from the Service's Strategic Leadership Team meetings.

Leading and developing a high performing and enthusiastic team, the role will need an individual who can demonstrate how they are an outstanding leader, understand the sector we work in and the challenges this presents, and demonstrate how they can assist the Service through upcoming major projects including a Joint Headquarters with Nottinghamshire Police and a new Strategic Plan.

The successful candidate will be part of an on-call rota to support the 24/7 nature of emergency sector comms, they will have development opportunities provided through regular appraisals and will be part of a high performing team that is proud to be 'Creating Safer Communities'.
