Job Details
An excellent new opportunity has arisen working for our client's brokerage which is to be based within their Newcastle operation.
This role as commercial account handler would be working within their commercial team where you would be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, and having regular contact with them, negotiating broking strategies and obtaining the best possible terms from the market place. You will be the 1st point of contact for the client on technical matters, overseeing the whole renewal process from start to finish; processing MTA's/changes to the risk/policies.
There is also the option for the successful person to develop in to a hybrid role and perform the duties of an Assistant Manager within the Newcastle branch if desired.
You will need to have a good understanding of the various commercial insurance markets and their underwriting guidelines/capacities, are competent and technically strong on most classes of commercial insurance business. It is therefore essential that you can communicate at all levels and have previously worked within an intermediary/insurer environment and or underwriting/commercial broking/account handler role.
This company are an investor in its work force and therefore career progression and desire to pursue or continue industry studies would be fully supported in addition to an attractive salary and package.
