Your new company
Private sector company located close to St. Helens, Merseyside. Well-established business operating in manufacturing industry is looking to recruit Service Desk & Infrastructure Manager to contract for 6 months.
Your new role
You will look after a team of 10 Service Desk Analysts and IT Engineers therefore your duties will include recruiting, training, coaching, motivating and disciplining employees. You will design, develop and implement strategies and policies as well as plan, organise and control the running of the IT department. Identifying problematic areas, troubleshooting and implementing strategic solutions will be your task too. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cost control, resource planning and other strategic decision making.
What you'll need to succeed
An applicant should have experience in managing multi-disciplined IT teams, proven working experience in a strategic role and excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer hardware/software knowledge. In order to be successful you should have Microsoft, VMware, network technologies (LAN & WAN) and datacentre in your CV. Excellent communication skills, analytical abilities and a proactive approach to work are a must.
