Pay Rate: £19.47 per hour

Heckington/periodic visits to Hull

Our client is a well renowned food manufacturer, specialising in making great natural snacks. They operate across 3 sites across the East of England, employing over 200 people. They are currently looking for a multi-skilled engineer to join their night shift team working Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities;

• Carry out site maintenance tasks to maintain the site equipment, building and facilities
• Maintenance tasks to include mechanical, electrical breakdowns, planned preventative maintenance and machine setup
• Completed relevant paperwork to close out PPM's and maintenance requests
• Complete relevant paperwork to close out non-conformances
• Carry out engineering stores/stock duties, to include ordering spares, booking in and out of stock, raising Purchase orders
• General housekeeping duties
• Health and safety awareness
• Communicate with internal management
• Support Site facilities with specific tasks that require support
• Have the ability to work alone but also be flexible with a willingness to work as part of a team
• Perform driving duties when required
• Control of contractors and permits
• Support projects on site where required
• Carry out tasks which require the use of a MEWP
• Develop key operational staff in the execution of site based autonomous maintenance
• Continuous professional and personal development including attending both internal and external training courses as required

SKills;

• Competency in Electrical / Mechanical skills through a combination of formal qualifications, on and off site training, and experience of similar work carried out.
• Time Served in an engineering discipline with a formal electrical qualification
• Experience in performing various tasks around site
• Be able to work outside in all weathers
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Experience of dealing with contractors
• Basic PC skills
• Hold a full valid driving license
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn to use specialized tools and equipment. A desire to work/accommodate requests

Ideally you will be;

• FLT Trained
• MEWP Trained
• 18th edition regulation
• Testing and inspection
• Understanding of PLCs, able to fault find to input/output card levels
