Job Details
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and innovative GP to join our dedicated Primary Care Team. As Section 2c Practices, staff are employees of NHS Grampian and are managed by Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership. NHS Grampian is a people-focused organisation offering employment practices which are both flexible and family-friendly.
The team comprises 6 sites across Aberdeen City: Camphill, Carden, Marywell, Old Aberdeen, Torry and Whinhill Medical Practices, each with their own demographics and individual client based needs and priorities. The ideal candidates will play an active role within the team to contribute to the maintenance of our high standards and help develop patient services for the future.
There is no contracted OOH commitment, however sessions working in unscheduled care would be available separately from GMED, (local OOH provider) or A&E Department, ARI
???????Description
Hours: up to 40 hours per week; some flexibility in hours and work pattern possible, for discussion at interview.
The practice became a 2c medical practice on 1st August 2018 and has progressed steps to be a sustainable and modernised primary care service looking to develop principles of working within 'new' Scottish GP contract. These include building an extended Primary Care team working within a multi-disciplinary team approach and person-centred care.
Our extended team already includes Practice based Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist, Link Practitioner and Psychological Therapist. Much of our unscheduled afternoon home visiting is provided by our local Out of Hours team. The Practice has close links with a dedicated Community Nursing team who are co-located.
Torry is a close-knit community within Aberdeen City which is demographically mixed and clinically interesting. The Practice is located within modern, purpose-built premises and uses Vision as its clinical IT system. We welcome new ideas and innovation within provision of services to our 7,000 patients. We are flexible, are happy to consider different working models. There would be opportunities to develop any areas of interest e.g. minor surgery, sexual health, and/or becoming involved in teaching and training.
Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. For more information visit
