Finance Assistant
6 month contract view to go permanent

An award winning company who transform businesses by providing excellent solutions. The role is a new vacancy due to business growth, the role requires knowledge of Sage and Excel. They are a true believer in employee engagement and performance and provide ongoing internal and external training.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Credit Control duties including chasing missing payments and updating the sales ledger
* Set up new supplier accounts and ensure all payments have been processed on a weekly basis
* Issuing credit notes and setting up direct debits on accounts
* Bank reconciliations and commission reconciliations and analysis
* Payroll- responsible for checking and processing staff wages including any statutory payments
* Produce finance reports and journals for cash flow forecasting
* Providing cover for the preparation on management accounts
* Assisting with financial year end
* VAT returns and process any payments due
Experience required:
* All round and up to day experience in an accountancy and finance role
* Good working knowledge of Sage Line 50, Sage 100 and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, SUMIFS)
