Spot2Spot Limited is recruiting for an Apprentice Software Developer Level 3 Apprentice.
The ideal candidate will have some experience and knowledge in the following:
Software and programming
The successful candidate key role will involve designing, testing and maintaining software systems within our own businesses as well as our clients.
Efficiency is key to providing to providing a better service for our clients and customers.
You will be required to work with our team of developers to access requirements and areas suitable for improvement along with designing and building the systems required.
This will also include:
Researching and developing skills
Testing and evaluating new programs
Identifying areas for modification
Writing and implementing efficient codes
Developing quality assurance
Deploying software tools , process and metrics
Working closely with developers and designers to meet your client's needs.
Use mark-up languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
Maintain and improve website
Design multi-platform features
Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Create quality mock-ups and prototypes
Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
Stay up to date on emerging technologies
Desired skills, qualities and experiences:
We are ideally looking for someone who has an interest in computer systems and is up to date with the latest technology
The ability to learn quickly and adapt to ever changing situations.
You will need to be able to think on your feet and use your own initiative when it comes to new ideas or problem solving.
Good communication skills are a must both verbally and written.
You will also be required to have good attention to detail and excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
As well as:
Hands on experience with mark-up languages
Understanding of layout aesthetics
An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
Preferred/Helpful to have:
Drivers Licence (Not Essential)
Portfolio of work
Sense of Humour
3x GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject, plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above.

Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (37.5hrs per week)
Apprentice pay is £4.15 an hour, which will be rapidly increased once the apprentice has shown skill sets and settled into the job (within 2-6 weeks)
QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.
To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
