Senior Engineering Project Manager - This is a great opportunity to join GB Ingredients, part of the Lallemand Group. We are a well-established international company that specialises in the development, production, and marketing of yeasts and bacteria and we are looking for a Senior Engineering Project Manager to be based at our site in Felixstowe, Suffolk.

The purpose of this key role within the company is to manage the engineering project work for our 24/7 food manufacturing facility. The Senior Engineering Project Manager has responsibility for the design, build, plan and execution of all engineering projects, and with the knowledge and experience to ensure that project solutions meet technical and production requirements.

Key responsibilities:

Develop a 3-5-year asset management program based on the strategic direction for the site, plant reliability data and opportunities for improvement
Make structured and costed recommendations for implementation of this strategy through various routes including suitable maintenance programs and capital investment
Implements appropriate mechanisms of control on projects expenditure and ensures that projects are delivered in spec. on time and on budget
Liaise with Production and Maintenance teams to understand forthcoming permitted activities and isolations are necessary for the undertaking of project work and undertakes these to the required standards of safety
Tracks 'live' permits to ensure that all personnel, plant, and equipment are safe
Lead improvements in factory processes using appropriate improvement techniques e.g., root cause analysis, downtime analysis, OEE analysis
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for appropriate tasks
Appoints, leads and actively manages/supervises contract personnel on site, including safety supervision
Ensures compliance to the appropriate safety and food standards throughout project timeline

Skills and experience required:

Engineering degree & knowledge of Electrical and Control systems and Project management certification (e.g., Association for Project Management)
5 years + in Food manufacturing and related technology knowledge (Food, Dairy and/or similar industry)
NEBOSH or IOSH safety certificate and knowledgeable of safety, quality, and environmental processes
Knowledge of maintenance planning principles, approaches and continuous improvement awareness
Leadership experience of significant size project/engineering/maintenance team
Ability to manage complex dependencies and issues, and present recommendations and options to meet business needs
Effective communication, influencing skills, determined and resilient
Results focused "can do" attitude and a self-starter - ability to work off own initiative
Numerate - comfortable with maths & statistics

The Senior Engineering Project Manager role is full-time, working 9am - 5.15pm Monday to Friday. On offer to the successful candidate is a salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience and expertise. You will receive 25 days holiday, and access to a contributory pension scheme.
