This is a well established and growing business that manufacture and install complex material handling solutions into manufacturing plants in the UK and all over the world. They have a number of experienced installation teams but due to the increase in projects need to increase the support they offer their customers.
You will be spending most of your time on customers sites across the UK and abroad
Site installations involve assembling the materials handling solutions on site electrically and mechanically using schematics.
When you are not on site you will spend your time in the workshop building and testing machinery prior to installation. This also involves both electrical and mechanical assembly, test and fault-finding skills.
Most UK installations take up to 2 weeks at a time, the international work can be 4-8 weeks depending on location and scope of work.
The equipment you will be working on is mainly conveyors systems and includes control panels, rollers, drives and safety circuits, gearboxes, PLC's, motors. The equipment is integrated into the customers existing factory equipment so you can expect technical problems to solve and keep you on your toes.
Electrically qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 as a minimum
Solid electrical and mechanical experience
Flexibility to travel and work away from home extensively
Ex Forces electrical engineers are of particular interest as are factory maintenance engineers looking for a role out in the field.
