QUALITY ENGINEER

TITLE: QUALITY ENGINEER
SALARY: £35,000 - £40,000 [D.O.E]
BENEFITS: Excellent Benefit package, 28 days Holiday, Free Parking,
LOCATION: CORBY Northamptonshire easy links from Kettering, Wellingborough, Raunds, Rushden, Peterborough
DURATION: 6 - 9 month contract
HOURS: 40 Hours Per Week, Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (No shifts or call outs)
START DATE: Immediate

We have an excellent opportunity to join a successful Corby based business as a Quality Engineer.

The role would ideally suit someone with previous experience in a quality, continuous improvements or a manufacturing engineering role seeking their next challenge. We are also open to considering graduates who have had a year in industry and are seeking their first role. The purpose of this role is to assist the Quality Manager with the implementation of the IATF 16949 standard.

The role of the Quality Engineer will involve:

Assisting with the implementation of IATF 16949 standard across the business
Working with both mechanical and electrical equipment
Working closely with the production team to monitor equipment and deal with issues swiftly
Repair, rewire and rebuild electrical control panels
Assisting the Engineering Manager and team in undertaking PPM for site, organising repairs and reviewing planned maintenance schedules
Undertake improvement project IATF 16949 standard

The successful Quality Engineer you will:

Hold a relevant quality, manufacturing or engineering degree / qualification and have a year industry based experience within manufacturing
Strong working knowledge and understanding IATF16949
Be a confident communicator able to work with people at all levels and obtain vital information
Be persuasive and a good negotiator able to get people onside quickly to resolves issues
Be a great problem solver
Have comprehensive knowledge of quality and manufacturing systems
Have confident computer skills ideally with excel and SAP
Have accurate administration and report writing skills
Be able to present and discuss quality issues confidently

The role is initially a 6-month contract which may possibly run for 9 months.
