Technical Manager

Role - Technical Manager

Location - South Cerney

Salary - £40,000 - £45,000

I am working on behalf of my client who operate within the manufacturing/construction industry and are currently recruiting a Technical Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Accountabilities

• Product Design and development using Autodesk Inventor
• You will be the link between the sales team and production, assisting with technical queries and managing costings at all stages of the manufacturing process
• Ensuring product and project compliance with regulatory, industry and structural standards

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop Technical strategy in line with Company objectives
• Manage Technical activities, people, resources and budgets
• Monitor and report on effectiveness of Technical strategy
• Update Product Evaluation spreadsheet
• Support sales with Technical queries
• Cost special projects/products
• Update/improve standard costings and costing system
• Manage production of sales product drawings
• Manage production of manufacturing drawings
• Oversight of structural calculations
• Update of Technical Documentation Manual
• Manage changes to product designs
• Ensure compliance with British and other Standards
• Manage product R&D
• Develop Engineering cost down
• Update Technical drawings
• Support with Install technical queries
• New product development

Key Skills & Requirements

• Autodesk Inventor experience
• Ability to multitask, make decisions and manage time effectively
• A background in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential
