Legal Secretary - Family/Private Client

£25,000 - £28,000

Well established and highly recommended law firm with office across Surrey and London are seeking to hire a Legal Secretary to join our Family department and the Private Client department

This role will be to assist fee earners in their day-to-day work by providing support and an efficient secretarial and administrative service to fee earners within the High Net Worth Family and Private Client department:

Providing full secretarial support including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to legal transactions.

Taking basic instructions from clients.

Drafting client letters, emails and other documents as required.

General team administration including photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning.

Meeting and greeting clients.

Handling telephone enquiries and directing accordingly.

E-filing court proceedings, preparing bundles for hearing and assisting with preparation of documents counsel.

Assist the fee earner with billing.

Desired skills and experience:

Legal Secretary experience essential.

Either experience working within a family team or a private client team is essential.

Fast, accurate typing ability, ideally using digital audio systems.

Experience of using case management system.

IT literate - Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / Digital Audio software / Case Management.
