Incident Analysis Group (IAG) are Carnival Corporation's internal investigations group and consist of a team of global investigators focused on analysing select health, environment, safety and security (HESS) events across the company's nine cruise line brands. This is a unique opportunity based at Carnival UK and play a key part in this global team.

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Director, IAG Programme Governance & Quality Assurance, in which you will be responsible for building, implementing and embedding the required methodology and structure to provide the governance and framework to manage the iterative processes and procedures of the investigative function for incidents involving Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (HESS).

The Role

In this role you will introduce programme governance in order to ensure robust and transparent processes and procedures are in place, further strengthening and reinforcing the independence of IAG investigations. You will be responsible for creating a framework for investigations for the IAG to deliver against, including appropriate work process steps and evidence-based decision making to ensure that the scope of investigations include both onboard and shoreside factors, issues, and causal factors; most importantly, ensuring a consistent journey for each investigation.

You will drive and create a culture of a Continuous Improvement; demonstrating improvement through learning, committing to reviewing and revising processes with IAG stakeholders to deliver clearer and better outcomes.

You will introduce quality assurance in order to provide the best possible outcomes through creating and embedding a Quality Assurance framework, to actively ensure there are clear principles, measures and standards in place for the IAG, clearly signposted towards our HESS commitment.

In addition you will develop trending protocols for incidents and investigation outcomes as well as identifying measurable data points and developing trends on incidents, root causes and action plans.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to have extensive experience of managing cross functional project & programme teams along with having worked within a continuous improvement environment. You will be comfortable and experienced with the delivery of process improvements/re-engineering within an operational environment.

Along with line management experience the following is essential:

• Degree or Extensive experience in Business area

• A Levels - or equivalent

• GCSEs - including Mathematics, English and a Science or equivalent

• Prince2 Practitioner/ PMI Certified/ MSP/APM/Lean Certified

Experience of Maritime Operations and working with teams across multi -locations/countries will be advantageous.
