Permanent Part Qualified Finance Officer job in Aberdeen, 37 days annual leave & highly competitive pension
Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of their client for a Finance Officer to join their growing team. It would ideally suit someone part qualified but qualified by experience individuals will also be considered. Salary is negotiable depending on experience but is in the range of £27,000 + 37 days annual leave & highly competitive pension. The role is currently based working from home, but will require office working in Aberdeen.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the maintenance and updating of the company system in relations to payments, customer accounts, reporting, charges, reconciliations & sales ledger. You will produce various reports on arrears, rechargeable's, aged debtors and customer charges. You will complete monthly and annual reconciliation of nominal accounts to Trial balance, including rechargeable's, bank accounts etc. You will prepare prepayments and provide reconciliations, backup schedules and information to meet monthly and annual deadlines for example to include in the annual audit pack. You will undertake sales invoicing activities for the Group, including producing sales ledger reconciliations and associated month end reports to undertake sales ledger credit control activities as required. You will provide, excellent and timeous financial information and advice as required or requested by internal departments and / or stakeholders. You will assist with identifying and implementing opportunities for increased efficiency and value for money across immediate areas of responsibility, streamlining processes where possible.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a part qualified or qualified by experience Finance professional with experience in completing accounts to trial balance stage. You will have experience working with integrated systems and developed analytical and problem solving skills in order to reconcile, analyse and interpret at times high volumes of data. You will have strong IT skills and be confident with Excel including vlookups etc. You will have strong experience in credit control and sales ledger and possess highly developed communication skills.
